UKABP is at the heart of accessible information provision to enable its members to produce Braille cost effectively and to agreed standards. UKABP is also establishing links with other standard-setting bodies to ensure that improvements in Braille production are part of wider accessible information provision in the UK.
UKABP aims to ensure that it is accountable to its members at all times, and to this end is developing communication channels to enable the best possible all-round exchange of information and ideas.
As well as having a membership focus, UKABP works on behalf of its members to raise awareness of the need for Braille, as well as promoting the interests of all members on a fair and impartial basis.
